Run for Communities

Carpets for Communities is a not-for-profit social enterprise which aims at empowering mothers and children in Cambodia to break the cycle of poverty. We believe that sports is a great catalysts to create positive change around you as well as inside you.

We experienced this first hand when we joined a young team of cyclists from the Gone Adventurin‘ initiative to ride bikes from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. As we were exhausted from this ride, we paid our respect to these bikers, who had come as far as from Ho Chi Minh City in support of our cause.

To continue our support of using sports as a catalyst for change, we are now encouraging runners from all countries and nationalities to join a marathon in their cities and dedicate their run to CfC, in order to raise funds and awareness for our sustainable development projects in Poipet.

Our CEO Lindsey Ritchie is setting the example on October 14th, when she will run Back to the ‘G in Melbourne.

Not running? Consider sponsoring Lindsey for her run.
