Anyone Can Host a Carpet Party!
Carpet Party is just like a traditional Tupperware party, but better! It will give you the opportunity to talk about CfC, fair trade and development! Great opportunity to talk about some important and interesting topics and support an organisation that working towards solving poverty issues. If you think you’re friends, family and work colleagues would be interested in hearing about CfC, seeing a wide range of the carpets, and having a fun night with friends, then we will support you host a Carpet Party!
What happens at a Carpet Party?
Most often the party is just held at the organiser’s home and is very casual. Other times it can be on a larger scale in a hall or local community centre. Completely up to you!
You can invite as many or as little people as you want, provide finger food and drinks, or ask them to bring a plate of food and make it BYO.
The Carpet Party rep will turn up before the party starts to lay out a few carpets on display, and stack the other carpets so that your guests can see the colours. When the guests arrive, and have had a few drinks and some finger food, the Carpet Party rep will tell everyone a bit more about CfC. On the odd occasion, a CfC representative may not be available, but you could have someone working on the project in Cambodia Skyped in!
The Carpet rep’s are a wealth of knowledge about Carpets for Communities, so guests can ask any questions about the charity if they want additional information. The carpets at the party would all be for sale if anyone wishes to purchase one, and orders for specific colours and sizes can also be places on the night.
What do I need to do?
You as the organiser would organise the venue, food, drinks and invitations. Email us with your interest and we will send you out the host pack and help you set up and run the party! Email info@carpetsforcommunities.org to get started!
